Employee Safety, Health and Wellness

From the plants that manufacture our products to the break rooms in our offices, establishing safe workspaces for our employees is a top priority.

 

In 2022, we launched a new environmental health and safety (EH&S) Achievement Program built on specific performance benchmarks at each of our production sites. We also continued strengthening our EH&S strategy to more effectively train new employees, deepen our EH&S leadership and further ingrain safety into daily workplace conversations. These efforts helped us decrease our lost-time injury rate by 50% year over year.

 

In addition, our company-wide Wellness Program helps employees be proactive about their physical, mental and emotional health. For example, we offer biometric health screenings and encourage preventive health check-ups.

Ongoing Improvement

Our training curriculum for Trex Customer Experience Center employees earned the 2022 Best Learning and Development Program award from the International Customer Management Institute. This award reflects our efforts to support better onboarding, improve agent performance and deliver ongoing coaching and development.

Leadership Development

Investing in tomorrow’s leaders is crucial to our future growth and success. We build employees’ leadership skills through in-person courses, online resources and one-on-one mentoring programs. In addition, we provide internship opportunities for college graduates at the start of their careers.
